A good romance anime is always a treat to watch because romance anime makes your hearts soar. Anime can bring these stories better than anyone out there. After my bad experience with anime School days I forced myself to believe there could be better romantic anime that how i got into romance anime genre.
Now I know how people react to lists like Best Romance Anime so rather than summarizing the entire anime I am going forward and saying why it is a good anime.
Blue Box
Ao no Hako aka Blue Box is one of the most popular anime that is currently airing. It focuses on the duo of Taki Inomata, a first year badminton player and Chinatsu Kano, a second year basketball player. After an unexpected turn of events brings them together, sports might not be the first thing in their mind any more.
This series balances sports and romance very well, and we see characters focus on becoming the best version of themselves through hard work and determination, but we also see hints of possible romantic developments.
The basic premise of Blue Box is pretty simple considering all things, even though some may argue that it’s generic but it’s a very well executed romance vanilla anime.
The animation is nothing short of stellar. I already had high hopes since reading manga as artwork is quite detailed there. Then they dropped a few trailers which looked beautiful and after watching three episodes, I can say the adaptation is in safe hands and a big reason for that is high quality animation.
The music in this show is really good. The op “Same Blue” by official HIGE DANDISM really fits the vibe of the show; the ed “ Teenage blue” is just as good, if not better. The OST is solid as well.
The entire voice acting cast is great. Rena Ueda as Chinatsu and Akari kito as Hina were excellent picks as They bring a lot of personality to characters and their voices perfectly match.
Overall, the Blue Box anime is a great watch. You should really watch this anime.
2. Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Ultra Romantic
Love is complicated scary, fleeting, but certainly not a war for kaguya and Miyuki, though, it is for months upon months, they have played this game whoever confesses first loses, having alot of fun along the way but when faced with a time constraint was all this war was a waste of time?
Watching this third season of Kaguya sama was like watching the last act of a play, or listening to the last verse of a song. It felt like the end of this cour, something momentous would happen, and the character would step away from the status quo.
The continuation of the antics of the student council. The continuation of kaguya and Miyuki relationship .Similarly to previous seasons each episode is divided into skits. But the season is less episodic than rest because the rest of the season lies in the last few episodes focusing on the cultural festival.
This season is made with passion and a lot of love. The animation is vibrant and always adds to comedy.
Masayuki Suzuki had another yet wonderful opening in “Gri Gri”. You cannot have this anime without Suzuki though. The two endings were wonderful musically as well The OST.
The main cast bounce off each other well in comedy. The voice actors did a great job and I bet they had a lot of fun while doing this. Kaguya sama has been a work of pure love and it has always been made with a great passion. If anyone wants a romcom with comedy to watch it is one of the best romance anime ever made.
3. Kimi ni Todoke 3rd Season
I was pretty astonished by this season. Slow, yet enjoyable pace of the first two seasons were pleasant. I know the ride I signed up for and had a great time doing so. We got plenty of character development this time around, and episodes felt a little bit more like movies.
So many things happened in twists and turns throughout the season and pay-off overall felt rewarding, deserved and satisfying. In my heart the season gets a 10, because seeing Sawako and company once again made me really happy.
Reliving memories from 10 years ago and seeing where my life was then and how it is now was a good exercise in reflection and nostalgia.
As for the story, the fact that Sawako and Kazehaya's relationship has developed on a secondary level is appreciated because it allows the secondary characters to have more screen time.
Seeing the clumsy progress of Ryuu and Chizuru was something tender to see, as two teenagers try to cross that thin line from a friendship of years to a romantic relationship. The story arc of Ayane looking for a person who can love her, romantically, with the same intensity that her friends love her.
Honestly, I think Ayane's development is the best of the season because it's not about being able to love someone else, but about loving yourself. As for the story, there aren't many complaints, and there's not much to criticize in this section.
4. The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten
The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten is probably an anime you have experienced before if you are familiar with melancholic dramas. Even though there is always joy in the series, there are also moments of sadness and despair. It feels like something is missing between characters ' relationships.
Will they become a real couple? This type of writing can be frustrating at times even though there is progress though. We never treated it with a real ending. This anime has only 12 episodes, which is not surprising . You will need a lot of patience because this type of romance anime is not for everyone.
I'm not going to say this anime is unwatchable or represents the pinnacle of romantic comedies. This is more of an average anime dedicated to connecting to two characters living next door. Whether you agree Mahiru lives up to her 'angel' nickname is up to you.

With such a small cast of characters, you'll really have to ask yourself if they are worth the time. Because time and time again, this type of anime just doesn't do justice for the Love romance anime genre.
5. Fruits Basket
At first glance fruit basket is just another shonen anime with nothing different to it. The average average beautiful kind loving girl gets all pretty boys. However, there is a special touch to the way the series develops itself and how you watch each character grow intact with each other as the story progresses.
The story starts with Tohru Honda as an average japanese girl you can think of who lost her mother in an accident was living alone in a tent in Sohma's property .Of Course she was not aware of that until they told her.
She needs to do all the housework in exchange for living in the house. Well it was her idea because she did not want to live there for free. She discovered the family's biggest Secret that the entire family is crushed by vengeful spirits of a Chinese Zodiac animal.
When they are hugged by the opposite sex they transform into the animal they were cursed by.
It’s a beautiful anime with heart touching subjects. The character designs are beautiful. You won't find a boring episode in this series. Each one develops and focuses on a character's situation.
