Kashin Koji’s Role, Boruto’s Escape, and Orochimaru’s Hidden Connection
We have the early spoilers for Chapter 13 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. It confirms when Boruto started working with Kashin Koji. Let's dive into the details.
The first panel shows Boruto in a layer of the sword, which is Orochimaru’s hideout. The patterns on the wall and columns confirm this. Kashin Koji later confirmed it, saying, “Outside wind, it’s one of Orochimaru’s bases, already abandoned.”
“Outside wind” means outside the Land of Wind. This will be clarified in the chapter. The area has snake scale patterns and a snake, showing it's Orochimaru’s hideout.
What caught my eye is the ground. It seems to be a summoning seal, with Boruto and a toad on it. Kashin Koji is rising from the ground, suggesting a summoning seal. This makes me think Boruto was summoned by Kashin Koji to escape from Code.
Everyone wondered how Boruto escaped from Code. Boruto didn't fly away, as Code can't fly. But why didn't he take Sasuke with him? This suggests Boruto was summoned by Kashin Koji, which makes sense given Boruto's dialogue in Chapter 5.
Boruto didn't want to leave Sasuke behind. An explosion happened, and he disappeared and returned later. This confirms Kashin Koji summoned him.
This panel shows Kashin Koji saying, “By the way, that frog is a scientific ninja tool. It's man-made and I'm controlling it with my chakra.” Boruto asks, “Who are you? Do you know me?”
This doesn't directly debunk my theory about Boruto's summoning in the battle versus Code. But it makes it less likely. It's possible the frog spoke to Boruto while he was escaping from Code and then summoned him.
Naruto was summoned to Mount Myoboku by a toad sage in Shippuden. He also used this method to summon clones against Pain. Kashin Koji used it to send Amado to the Hidden Leaf Village. This method isn't new to the series.
Boruto doesn't know who Kashin Koji is because he can't see his face. The hood hides it. Even if he could see his face, he wouldn't recognize him. Kashin Koji is showing his broken mask to Boruto so he can recognize him.
Kashin Koji teaching Boruto the Flying Thunder God makes sense. It's stated in the data book. He helped Boruto develop this version of the technique. This confirms Boruto didn't use Flying Thunder God to escape from Code yet.
One theory is that Kashin Koji is a clone of Jiraiya. This could explain why he knows the Flying Thunder God formula. But this theory is unconfirmed. It's based on the idea that Amado could save memories and implant them into clones. However, this wouldn't work for Jiraiya since he died before such technology existed.
Naruto mentioned that memories can be shared through chakra or accidentally leak. This could explain how Kashin Koji got Jiraiya's memories. But it's a stretch since we've never seen it happen before. It could be that Amado has a special technology to access chakra memories.
The connection to Orochimaru is intriguing. Boruto has one of Orochimaru's swords and learned Wind Style: Breakthrough. Orochimaru knows a lot about the Otsutsuki and taught Mitsuki about them. This makes it likely that Orochimaru is involved in some way.
The story hints that Orochimaru will play a big role later. It might not be now, but it will be soon. Boruto has been going on for over 7 years, so it might last 3 to 4 more years. We need more stories about the Otsutsuki, the Ten-Tails, and the universe's creation.
There's a reason why the Ten-Tails need an Otsutsuki to make a chakra fruit. Orochimaru said only Otsutsuki can eat chakra fruit. These entities are connected, and the Ten-Tails might have created the universe. They are all connected to the God Tree.
Now, moving to Chapter 13 of the Boruto manga, Momoshiki might save Boruto. Boruto isn't healed yet, but Momoshiki's powers could help. This chapter might show if Boruto can use Momoshiki's healing.
If Momoshiki controls the healing, he might stop Boruto from healing. Then, Boruto could switch to Momoshiki, leading to a fight with Jura. This fight could be exciting. But, it depends on if Jura stays to fight Boruto.
